Ching-Yun TU, Born in Taiwan of a musician family; she began to study the piano and violin at the age of six. Her brilliant performances lead to win the first prize of national competition of violin in the junior section and senior section. The Taiwanese Government awarded her a scholarship to study in France. She became the youngest scholarship student in her country.

  In 1993, she succeeded in the entrance of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSM); studied in the class of Gérard POULET. She obtained the first prize of violin in 1996 and the first prize of chamber music with Christian IVALDI, Alain MEUNIER and Jean MOUILLERE in 1997.

She achieved the outstanding musical studies with Jean-Pierre WALLEZ at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève where she obtained the first prize of virtuosity in violin with distinction and the first prize of chamber music in 2000. Then she completed an improvement course with Devy ERLIH at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and awarded the diploma of Supérieur de Concertist in 2003.

 She also actively participated in Master Classes with Michèle AUCLAIR, Roland DAUGAREIL, Michael FRISCHENSCHLAGER, Franco GULLI, Tuomas HAATANEN, Koichiro HARADA, Ulf HOELCHER, Larissa KOLOS, Herman KREBBERS, Igor OISTRAKH, Ruggiero RICCI and Tibor VARGA.

 In 1999, she won the first prize and audience prize of the International Ernest Chausson Violin Competition for French Music at the Avray city. She was also the prize winner of the European FLAME Competition at Paris in 2000 and performed at the UNESCO. She has been a soloist performed with several orchestras: l'Orchestre Franco-taiwanais, Dir. Jean-Jacques WERNER and l'Orchestre Symphonique des violons d'Ingre, Dir. Raymond CLAUDE in Paris; l'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Dir. Natacha CASAGRANDE in Geneva Ansermet Hall; Taipei Symphony Orchestra and National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra in Taipei National Concert Hall. 

 Laureate of Cziffra foundation and sponsored by Zaleski foundation, Arthemes Association, Ching-Yun TU has been invited to various music festivals: the Music Festival in Roma and Salzburg Music Festival in 2000, 2002 and 2003, her concerts are regularly in Europe: France, Austria, Finland, Germany, Spain and Switzerland; in Asia: Taiwan and Japan.
